Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity and the Atlanta-Emory District has formed a partnership this year to build a house for a deserving family while promoting service and fellowship among our District Churches. Oak Grove has committed $7,000 to the funding of the build and encourages individuals and families to select one or more of the dates below to volunteer with other District United Methodist Church Members.
The construction dates and activities are:
2/20 Siding, deadwood, install windows, doors
2/27 Siding, caulking
3/6 Siding, caulking, insulation, deck
3/13 Insulation installation
3/20 Drywall installation
3/27 Drywall installation
4/10 Complete Drywall installation
4/17 Trim installation
4/24 Interior Paint/caulking, deck
5/1 Finish paint, cabinets, etc
5/8 Shoemold, door hardware, closet shelving, etc
5/15 Landscape/punchlist
5/22 Tentative Dedication Date

www.habitatgwinnett.org click on forms and waivers to download the Waiver of Liability for each volunteer must complete, sign and turn in when they arrive on site and sign in; and to read the Construction Site Age Policy and Rules to Build By. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to work on an active site and anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver form.
